"We believe that those who enjoy traveling around the world have a civic duty to support causes that fight to preserve Planet Earth and Humanity."
HomeCarShare, CEO
At HomeCarShare we allow our users to support the preservation of Planet Earth, Humanity and the places they visit through a range of international, national and local partnerships with social and environmental ONG's. We want to make our users aware of the importance of sustainable tourism, which must safeguard the environment, natural resources and ensure the economic growth of the localities. Meeting the needs of present and future generations, not only by protecting the environment but also by stimulating the development of the activities of the local society involved.
At HomeCarShare we encourage job creation for homeowners, drivers, property managers, housekeeping teams and many more people. We also stimulate the local economy through the suggestions provided by the owners and drivers themselves about restaurants, bars, activities, among many other local businesses.
Sustainable tourism depends on each of us.
"The sharing economy is a way of turning anything into a market and anyone into a microentrepreneur"
Alec Ross, author of the book "Future Industries"
HomeCarShare's business model is based on the Sharing Economy (or Collaborative Consumption), which is based on a simple principle: optimize the use of a little-used or unused property! The accommodation or car can be shared, negotiated, exchanged or rented. Utilization takes precedence over ownership, allowing all people to share their assets securely, contrary to the traditional business model, where consumption is excessive and all income is concentrated in large companies.
The Sharing Economy is only one component of the Great Circular Economy. This is a broader, regenerative and restorative economic model. Circular Economy is about managing resources (materials, products and services) to preserve their value and usefulness for as long as possible.
This increases resource productivity, preserves good natural capital as well as corporate and civil society financial capital.
