Praia Fluvial de Avô, in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital, is bathed by the river Alva and the stream of Pomares. This variation of two watercourses forms the well-known Picoto Island, where a pleasant picnic area is located.
This beach consists of two water reservoirs in the surrounding area of the island, with a pedestrian crossing point, a children's pool fed with river water, grass areas, equipment for picnics, changing rooms and pedestrian areas.
